
Braulio Morales: The Chilean Keyboardist Who Knew How to Rise in Music

Over the years, the rock and metal music scene in Chile has been expanding thanks to the increased opportunities for exposure available today.
In this edition, we are pleased to introduce the work of a musician who shared with us his life story, current projects, and what he is currently involved in.
Braulio Morales is a Chilean musician, composer, and keyboardist from Coquimbo. He has been in the music scene for years, creating music across various genres, including rock, progressive metal, jazz, electronic music, and even video game music.
Braulio shared his story with us. As a child, he was diagnosed with a motor disability called hemiparesis on the entire right side of his body. Despite this, he was determined to move forward, and he began experimenting with music as a DJ. Later, he developed an interest in the keyboard, influenced by bands like Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, and Dream Theater. The latter band led him toward progressive metal, and his passion for the instrument grew, especially due to the influence of Dream Theater's keyboardist, Derek Sherinian, whom he considers a major idol and follows his work.
His passion for music continued, and he decided to move to Santiago to further his education. He told us that he studied Composition and Arrangements at the Escuela Moderna de Música for a period, but due to financial issues, he had to abandon the program. Despite this setback, his love for music was not diminished, and many opportunities opened up for him...
